Key Account Manager (farming)

We are looking for a Key Account Manager (farmer) for one of the main providers of solutions and equipment in the field of automation of operations in bank branches, cash processing, and electronic payments on the local market. The position is based in Bucharest, Romania. 

THE ROLE

The Company is seeking a Key Account Manager to join the commercial team. He/She will be accountable for managing a portfolio of clients in the banking industry, nurturing and growing existing business collaborations.

Main responsibilities

  • Cultivating and maintaining client relationships;
  • Understanding their customers’ needs, preferences, and business goals to provide tailored solutions and develop collaboration with them;
  • Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients;
  • Developing account plans and strategies to maximize revenue from key clients;
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing excellent client service;
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for their accounts, resolving efficiently any issues that arise;
  • Working closely with internal teams such as project management to ensure client needs are met;
  • Communicating client feedback and market insights to internal stakeholders for continuous improvement;
  • Monitoring and analysing account performance, sales data, and client feedback;
  • Preparing regular reports on account status, performance metrics, and growth opportunities;
  • Participating in strategic planning sessions to align account management efforts with overall business goals;
  • Following up on their clients’ satisfaction and, with the support of their colleagues (PM, delivery, financial), on the compliance with the contractual conditions and SLA provided in the contract, invoicing, and on-time collection;
  • Promoting the Company’s specific solutions/products/services, through periodic activities such as presentations, demos, workshops, etc.;
  • Participating in training sessions regarding the solutions from the Company’s portfolio, trade fairs, and exhibitions to maintain a high level of product promotion;
  • Keeping up to date with the market and competition.

INTERNAL CONTACTS

He/She will report to the Sales Manager and will collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., pre-sales, project managers, delivery, etc.).

THE CANDIDATE

Requirements

  • Experience of a minimum 3-5 years in selling services to clients in the banking sector (must have);
  • Background in upselling and cross-selling, with very good negotiation abilities;
  • Ability to professionally communicate, present to, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level;
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction;
  • Background in working with KPIs, budgets, and deadlines;
  • Fluent English;
  • Category B driving license.
